Bay District Ritual Contest – May 5th & 6th 2006
The Bay District (#640) held their annual Ritual Contest at Alameda Lodge No. 1015 on the weekend of May 5-6, 2006. Lodges participating in the Ritual Contest were:
- Alameda No. 1015
- Fremont No. 2121
- Redwood City No. 1991
- San Francisco No. 3
- San Mateo No. 1112
- South San Francisco No. 2091

San Francisco Ritual Team, composed of the elected and appointed officers of the Lodge, placed in 5 of the 7 individual categories!
Our winners were:
- 1st Place Chaplain: Eddie O’ Sullivan
- 1st Place Esteemed Leading Knight: Patrick Murphy
- 2nd Place Esquire: Sean Flesher
- 2nd Place Esteemed Loyal Knight: Peter Torp
- 3rd Place Esteemed Lecturing Knight: Nina Murphy
Two of these winners, Sean Flesher and Nina Murphy, mark this as their first year as officers for Lodge No. 3.
The Ritual Team would like to thank their coaches, Harry Magnan and Bill Darr. Special thanks to the Bay District Ritual Committee and others, Lynn Glick, Dennis Valerio, Lino Marques, and Rogers Adams who arranged the contest.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank Kristine Kimm and Tina Shakour for representing the Lodge as word judges for the competition, and our Tiler, Josh Hachedorian for being both our Candidate in the Ritual, and a word judge..
Finally, a special thanks to our host for the contest, Alameda Lodge No. 1015 and a hearty congratulation to their team for taking the 1st place team trophy!
Awards were presented at a Hawaiian-themed Dinner Party. SF Elks clearly enjoyed themselves!
