Hi there, I have spent the last year as Exalted Ruler of Louisville Lodge #8. We have a tradition and history very comparable to that of #3. Our members recently paid a social call to Lodge #5 in Cincinnati, Ohio and were very pleased with the reception we were offered. It would be a interesting objective to make plans to have a social session of the remaining single digit Lodges at each of the coming National Conventions. We all would have much to gain from our association. Yours, Terry Akin, SR Exalted Ruler Louisville Lodge #8

I lived in the Bay Area for 27 1/2 years, but was not a member of the Elks at that time. Since my return to my hometown in Indiana, I joined Lodge #1307, and have served as ER 2 years. I have visited the Walnut Creek Lodge on a return trip, but will definitely schedule a visit to your historic Lodge the next time I fly into San Francisco-hopefully soon.

I might like to become a member, as my lovely grandfather was! Can't wait to visit the club & bring my parents when they're here over Thanksgiving for Fri. night dinner. What a beautiful building!--is it possible for a member to host a wedding there? The Elks gave me a small academic scholarship upon high school graduation that was very kind...long live the Elks!

I am a born San Francisco native and have rcently joined Carmichael Elks Lodge # 2103. at the age of 60. Remembered and never forgotten, My father was an Elk,,, However ,, the lodge is in my mind, unknown,,, I beleive it may have been the San Francisco Lodge #3,, When I visit San Francisco next I would like to visit your lodge and enquire of your archives if in fact, he was a member of Lodge # 3 some time during the 1930-39's 1940's and / or during the 1950's (Wm. H. Coles)

My husband and I were recently pleased to host one of your lodge trustees, Tina M. Shakour, at our home. We had met her at Grand Lodge in Orlando last summer. I was also able to take her on a tour of our lodge, Princeton, IN 634. She is a most pleasant and gracious representative of Lodge #3. Because of her knowledge and enthusiasm for the San Francisco lodge, we hope some day to visit your lodge home. Sue Ellen Parker, PDDGER Don E. Parker PER
